Formatting Guidelines
GUIDELINES AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING SCIENTIFIC PAPERS
9th HITMeeting Amazon
Only abstracts submitted in accordance with the guidelines provided will be considered.
The author responsible for the submission must be registered for the 9th HITMeeting Amazon;
The work should be edited and submitted online using a word processing program (preferably Word);
Abstracts must be written in English;
Abstracts should follow the provided template and may present results from: Original Research, Literature Review, Systematic Review (with or without meta-analysis), Case Report, or Experience Report;
The subject area should be indicated on the submission form;
The content of the work and presentation is the sole responsibility of the authors;
It is mandatory to present proof of approval from the Research Ethics Committee – CEP (or Ethics Committee on the Use of Animals – CEUA, when applicable) at the time of submission for research involving human beings or animals, and the opinion must be attached in PDF format, in accordance with CNS Resolution No. 466/2012 and Circular Letter No. 166/2018-CONEP;
Inclusion of the work in the event proceedings will be contingent upon payment of the registration fee by the author responsible for the submission.
Each registration will entitle you to participate in the congress and to submit up to 02 (two) abstracts as the main author/presenter;
Each work may have 01 (one) main author and up to 09 (nine) co-authors;
Abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Paper Evaluation Committee of the 9th HITMeeting Amazon, respecting the submission guidelines and current ethical principles.
DATE OF SUBMISSION AND ACCEPTANCE OF WORKS
Submission deadline: (the final date will be defined and updated soon!)
Submission confirmation will be sent via a notification to the email address registered on the submission form;
The approved works will be presented at a location, date, time, and duration defined by the organizing committee of the 9th HITMeeting Amazon;
The results will be published on the event's official website and social media channels, where guidelines for banner/panel presentations will also be available.
COMMITTEE FOR THE EVALUATION OF SCIENTIFIC WORKS
The Evaluation Committee will be composed of professionals with national and international prominence in areas related to the scientific scope of the 9th HITMeeting Amazon.
Each abstract will be evaluated by 02 (two) different members, who will assign scores from 1 (worst) to 5 (best), considering the following criteria:
Scientific importance and relevance in the national and/or international context;
Technical and scientific quality;
Technical and methodological expertise;
Originality;
Contributions to the advancement of science.
1. THEMATIC AREAS
Five (5) thematic areas are considered for the submission of scientific papers.
Immunology
Hematology
Pathogen-Host Interaction
Dermatology
Tropical Medicine
2. PRESENTATION CATEGORY
All accepted papers will be presented in banner/panel format. Failure to submit abstracts will result in the paper being excluded from the event proceedings.
The criteria evaluated in the banner/panel presentation will be: oral fluency, organization and structure of the banner/panel, consistency of the presented content with the content of the abstract, clarity, relevance, and theoretical and methodological articulation.
3. AWARDS FOR THE BEST WORKS
The selection of the best works will consider:
Evaluation of the abstract;
Evaluation of the banner/panel presentation;
Criteria established by the Scientific Committee.
The following will be selected:
One (1) best work in the field of Immunology
One (1) best work in the field of Hematology
One (1) best work in the area of Pathogen-Host Interaction
One (1) best work in the field of Dermatology
One (1) best work in the area of Tropical Medicine
The authors will receive certification and official recognition during the 9th HITMeeting Amazon.
